Paleopathology Association Information

The Paleopathology Association (PPA) will be hosting their 40th annual meeting in Knoxville from 9-10 April 2013. All conference events and scientific sessions will be held at the Knoxville Convention Center. These meetings are hosted by the Department of Anthropology at The University of Tennessee.

The Conference Organizing Committee invites you to participate in the 40th PPA annual meeting. The scientific sessions will begin with workshops held on Tuesday morning (9 April), which will be followed by podium presentations that afternoon. Podium and poster sessions will continue through Wednesday, 10 April. A special session dedicated to the memory of Dr. Donald Ortner will take place on Wednesday afternoon. The meetings program may be downloaded from this link.

Rates for regsitration at the conference are listed below. You may register for the PPA meeting either by credit card via PayPal (CLICK HERE for the web site) or by check via a mail-in form (CLICK HERE for the web site). The deadline for pre-registration for the conference is 1 March. On site registration and check-in will begin on Monday evening, 8 April. All events for the PPA meeting will take place in the Knoxville Convention Center.

The PPA requests that all meeting attendees stay at the primary AAPA conference hotels, the Hilton Knoxville and the Holiday Inn at World's Fair Park, as meeting our guest room obligations provides the PPA with conference space free of charge. This helps the association keep our registration fees reasonable.
